MEET OUR DOCTOR
Dr. Joshua DuBose
Dr. Joshua DuBose is a 2005 graduate of the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. He spent his first 11 years in private practice in the town of Monroe, GA. In 2016, Dr. Josh and his family moved to Cusco, Peru as medical missionaries and served in the clinic La Fuente Centro de Salud Integral. There he worked as a dentist treating the underserved as well as teaching and discipling medical and dental Peruvian students.
Dr. Josh, his wife Cindy, and 3 children, Emma, Bowden, and Blakely then moved back to the USA in 2020. They attend Grace Baptist Church in Evans. Through immaculate timing, Dr. Josh was able to meet Dr. C.I. Norton and ultimately purchased this practice. In 2021, Dr. Josh purchased the practice of the late Dr. Clarissa Schmidt and combined both offices into what is now The Dental Center of North Augusta.
His hope is to continue the legacies that both Dr. Norton and Dr. Schmidt established over the last few decades. He desires to serve the CSRA and surrounding areas and provide quality and compassionate care to his patients. Dr. Josh is also fluent in Spanish and has formed a team that can help to accommodate Spanish speakers. He looks forward to meeting you and your families.
MEET OUR DOCTOR
Dr. Sparkle Pompey
Dr. Sparkle Pompey Dorsey is a native of Aiken, South Carolina. She is married to her wonderful husband, David Dorsey, and has a beautiful daughter, Sydney. She is a graduate of Aiken High School, and received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina in Columbia in 2004. Afterwards, she earned her doctorate degree in dental medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2009. She is a part of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Central District Society, Spear Dental Study Club, and a Dawson Scholar. Aside from working, she has a passion for working with youth. She is an active member of her church, Ridge Hill Baptist Church. Her hobbies include salsa dancing, reading, gardening, tennis, and watching 49er and Gamecock basketball/football. She also enjoys playing with her beautiful husky, Lily.

Dr. Zachary Marana
As an Augusta native, Dr. Zachary Marana is proud to serve the greater Augusta community. A graduate of Evans High School in 2017, Dr. Marana was not only a dedicated student but also an active leader — serving as conductor/field commander of the Evans High School marching band and being honored as homecoming king. He went on to earn his
Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at Augusta University in 2021 before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The Dental College of Georgia in 2025.
Dr. Marana has a true passion for restorative and family dentistry, with a special focus on creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient he meets. His approach is gentle, thorough, and patient-centered, aiming to build lasting relationships based on trust and compassion.
Outside the office, Dr. Marana is a lifelong learner and enthusiast. He enjoys playing sports, including table tennis, pickleball, tennis, archery, and billiards, and in his free time, he also builds keyboards, watches anime, plays video games, and collects trading cards. A talented musician, he plays several instruments, including piano, guitar, violin, saxophone, and bassoon — and also loves to sing.
Above all, Dr. Marana believes in treating each patient like family and is committed to helping them achieve a healthy, confident smile for life.
